Text-to-Speech Requires Manual Initialization To Work

Hi there,
Context
Device: Google Pixel 7
Text-to-speech functionality (countdown, exercise announcements) fails to work automatically and requires manual initialization via the voice test button before each workout.
Expected Behavior
Text-to-speech should work automatically when starting workouts without any manual intervention.
Actual Behavior
TTS doesn't work initially. I need to go to Timers / Audio and use the voice test button first to make it "load" - then it works for most of the workout. If it stops working mid-workout, the same manual fix resolves it.
Notes
This is already an improvement from before where a full app restart was required, but it would be great if there's some error catching mechanism to prevent the need for manual initialization entirely.

Mathis Gauthey Do you still have this issue? For me the text-to-speech works correctly without having to do any special action.

Louis Deveseleer Hi, I can also confirm that on my new Pixel 9 Pro I did not experience any inconvenience related to TTS timer. It all works fine !
Though I can't say for sure if it was fixed or if the phone change was related as it matches a period of injury and hence no training.
Anyway yes we can probably close this
