"Too hard" / "Too easy" button

The automatic suggestions are sometimes off, which could be due to wrong estimation of your level, wrong estimation of the exercise difficulty, or wrong algorithm logic for the automatic selection.
Letting the user ask for another suggestion, either easier or harder, would not only improve the flow, so that they can quickly find a better suggestion, but it could also be used to improve the experience level calculation, fix exercises characterization, and improve the suggestion algorithm.

Merged in a post:
After mastering - choose exercise from Tree
Nebojsa Milic
Instead of just clicking Apply or "X", should there be third option to choose from Calistree when you master exercise, but to show just few nearest in Tree?
Like one or two side by side on same level, one above and under. It could give better GUI experience, as well as athlete could better see where he is => and where he's going.
See picture example, couldn't find better at the moment. This could be probably best shown with personal algorithm, but idk, you're the developer :)

Another idea came to me..
To change this mastered exercise dialog_box completely with (portion) of Calistree_Tree, which will for sure make much better visual effect on user, because he can precisely see where he is in progress with current/mastered exercise (as on previous picture)
Then some kind of accent color/bold arrow would solve visually the thing.
Sorry if I'm boring I am developer/designer too.. :)

Nebojsa Milic Hey thanks for your post. I'm sorry but I don't really understand what you mean... Could you maybe draw a little sketch of your idea?

Sorry maybe I'm too much confusing. Picture can explain it better;
Instead of current dialog box "Congradulations! You have mastered....." (first picture attached)...Change that dialog box with Calistree similar as on second picture attached (sorry for bad photoshop :D).
This way, user will more often see his personal (Calis)Tree and where he is on his own (for example) L-sit journey.
...Red circled exercise is just for visual effect, you can of course create something that it's in style of this app.. You can ignore the tickmarks but just for better visual reference.
I know that you can click Search and then go to Tree but it's a little more complicated because number of steps needed to see the tree & the appearance complexity of big tree when you click it, especially when at the end of training you just want to finish asap..

Nebojsa Milic I see thanks for the sketch! That is related to this task: https://feedback.calistree.com/requests/p/too-hard-too-easy-button
Nebojsa Milic
Louis Deveseleer Yeah, it is related to that task, nice!

You can probably merge these two somehow... Too-hard/easy/bad form scale for tunning the algorithm, and this idea for visuals

adding on to this - something i do when i feel like i’m not flexible enough to properly do an exercise is to just log the minimum value for the exercise while still marking it as complete - eg, just 1 rep or just 1 second held. i only mark real numbers once i feel like i’ve become flexible enough to do the exercise properly. this means i can’t really track my progress the way i can with other exercises, but it’s not easy to track flexibility growth anyway unless you have a way to measure the distance you can bend, so i don’t see it as a huge loss

Just wanted to add the context of my recent use case relating to this, specifically the "bad form" option mentioned below.
I've had the app for quite a while but only recently started using it steadily, starting out with the various "foundation" objectives. So, in particular with basic flexibility stretches for time e.g. pike stretch, my hamstring flexibility is the limit and I still can't quite hold a straight leg on a deep bend (though quickly getting better!).
But, I can still I can stretch it for the duration and because of that am "mastering" exercises that realistically are failures I need to work on the most before progressing.

Would love that

Note: besides the reasons too hard / too easy, we could also have: "bad form, needs more work" and "keep it as it is (lock)".
EDIT: new request for another option to keep it for some time: "remind me in /SELECT NUMBER/ sessions"

If labelled too difficult, will the readiness for an exercise be adapted?
Louis Deveseleer
Gerard van Papendrecht: Maybe. If anything, we could potentially dynamically adapt the experience profile of the user, and the exercise readiness would be adapted as a consequence, since exercise readiness depends on your experience.
I think what would be more important is to use that information to tweak the exercise characterization and experience profile calculation, so that we don't suggest exercises that are too hard anymore.
