Switching to weighted/band resisted/assisted exercises

I noticed recently that when you make a weighted version of an exercise, that automatically Calistree creates an exercise variation for that exercise. Except when there is an official weighted version, than you cannot select weight as a parameter.
Would it be possible to add the weight parameter again and have a check if the weighted exercise variation is already in the library, than automatically perform a quick switch to the weighted exercise?
Would be great if all parameters are selectable to either create an exercise variation or select the official exercise from the calistree library

Not showing the parameters if no official variation exists allows to simplify the exercise parameters screen, by only showing relevant information. What you are suggesting sounds like going back to the way things were, a crowded exercises parameters page, that confused many users. Also, I prefer keeping the action that creates a custom exercise clearly separate from the action that simply switches to an existing variation.
Does that make sense?
And did I understand correctly what you were suggesting?

Louis Deveseleer it is quite logical. What about, if there is an official weighted exercise in the library, that the parameters is used as a quick switch to change to that?
Louis Deveseleer
Gerard van Papendrecht But that's already the case 🤔 For example if you're on Pullup and select Weighted in the exercise parameters, it switches you to Weighted pullup. Did I misunderstand something?

Louis Deveseleer, if that should be the case, it didn't work for me with any of the exercises with a weighted version in the library.
I will try again, also with custom flows

Gerard van Papendrecht That's weird, works for me... For example: create an empty sessions > Add pullup > Edit parameters, switch to Weight > Automatically switches to "Weighted pullup"
What sequence of actions and exercises did you use?

Louis Deveseleer, weird, in parameters, weight cannot be selected for pullup in 4.30 on Android (not highlighted). i have to do a quick switch with search for weighted pullup.
Louis Deveseleer
Gerard van Papendrecht It sounds like you're looking for it in the variation properties, but it's not available there because there is already an official Weighted pullup variation in the library. You need to select Weight in the Resistance/Assistance section. Variation properties are to create custom exercises when no existing variation is available.

Louis Deveseleer, check, my bad. It works
