Lock exercises in a program
planned
Ben Stasiewicz
I'd love to have the option to disable the auto adjustments for a journey so that by default a new session will be a replica of the last session with the idea that I'd manually make changes to the new session as I see fit.

Option to keep certain exercise always on the suggestion
rajib sandhu
It is kindly requested that an option be provided to allow certain exercises, such as push-ups, squats, or any other preferred exercises, to be retained in the generated suggestion list. This would help ensure that effective and personally beneficial exercises are not automatically removed or replaced in future recommendations. Your consideration in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hello rajib sandhu Thanks for your message!
I think this request should solve your issue, could you please have a look and let me know? https://feedback.calistree.com/requests/p/lock-exercises-in-a-program

Louis Deveseleer yes that's the exact feature I requested. Thanks for your response.

In short: a always keep option would be helpful

Hello Louis. Thank you for merging with locked ones, missed these. And also it's a bit different, definitely a new feature can accommodate both suggestions.
Just a comment, concept of locking and pinning is a different. Your original locking means not only keep and do not change by generation but also avoid changing sets and reps. |
Pinning I suggested would mean not to touch by generation. But still handle progression as exercise is configured (ie. time based min-max 1-2 minutes).
Definitely these 2 approaches can be merged so both scenarios can be achieved.
And perfect suggestion by Marcos that do not create other exercises what already cover muscle groups by pinned/locked ones.

Eduard Kracmar Thanks for the details!
Since that task was created, we modified the way the min/max ranges (in the exercise parameters) work, to give them more power, so now we're already able to "lock" the sets and reps of an exercise, by setting the min/max ranges to the same value. So since that part is taken care of, what's left is the pinning like you explained. This way, both concepts are decoupled :-)

Louis Deveseleer Oh, that is perfect 💪 Looking forward for feature 🙌

Pinned Exercises Within Journey Generation
Eduard Kracmar
I really enjoy the “generation” feature in my journeys — it helps me align my training focus (like hypertrophy, strength, mobility, etc.) with appropriate warm-ups, cool-downs, and fits everything neatly within my desired workout duration.
Some of my journeys work perfectly with this feature. However, in others, I’d love to use generation while also being able to pin specific exercises — ensuring that these exercises stay in the plan regardless of the current objective. This would allow me to pursue multiple goals within a single journey — some defined as the main focus, and others which I can't define as objective.
For example, I might set deep squat as my Journey's objective to improve my hip, knee, and ankle mobility. At the same time, I’d like to keep active hang as a consistent element in my program — even after I will pass the 1-minute “mastered” threshold. I’d like Calistree to continue progressing my hang time gradually, beyond 1 minute, without removing it when adjusting other aspects of the journey through generation.
An elegant solution would be the ability to “pin” exercises like active hang, so that even when using the generation feature to update sessions based on a specific goal (e.g., deep squat), these pinned exercises remain untouched.
Does this make sense to others? I searched for similar requests but couldn’t find anything matching this use case.

I would suggest those exercised would be taken into account when the program is regenerated. For example, I'm I locked a deadlift, hamstring exercised should be avoided or suggest ones that complement with it.

I really need these. To improve strength there are some exercises I need to do them for 4 weeks, if I lock them, I can generate or update the program but keep some of them still there.
