Description
When tapping the same date twice in the calendar view, the UI changes state (content below updates), but there is no animation or visual transition to indicate that anything happened. This makes it difficult to understand whether the interaction was registered or what changed.
Steps to Reproduce
  1. Open the app and navigate to the workout calendar
  2. Tap a date (e.g., April 27)
  3. Tap the same date again
Expected Behavior
A clear visual transition or animation should indicate that the view/state has changed. For example:
  • A subtle fade or slide transition in the session list
  • A highlight pulse or re-selection animation on the selected date
  • A content refresh animation (e.g., skeleton/loading shimmer)
Actual Behavior
  • The content changes instantly without animation
  • No clear indication that a second tap triggered a different state/view
Impact
  • Reduces usability and clarity
  • Makes the UI feel unresponsive or ambiguous
  • Users may assume the tap did not register
Suggested Solution
Introduce a lightweight animation when:
  • Re-selecting an already selected date
  • Updating the session list content
