Having specific routine specifically focused on left-right side imbalance.

Hello, so I was trying some stretches and even though I am making progress. I tried isolating specific muscles to see what's preventing it and found some unsymmetric tensions in my muscles. Now I am working towards fixing them myself but I will love if the app have specific focus routines on bridging that left right asymmetry, both strength wise and flexibility wise, so that we can assign specific day/days for it. Well....I know I am being lazy in creating my own workouts but still I love recommended routines 😝.

New routine added, focused on unilateral exercises to find or correct left/right imbalances: https://calistree.app/routine/balanced-body-unilateral-full-body_06d5303f-e27d-4e17-9b0e-8a914ef64a4f

victaah Would it be a routine with only unilateral exercises?

Louis Deveseleer yes! Maybe (if you create it ) you can put it under balance category , as technically it's balance just ,of a different kind. To be fair regular workouts do have unilateral exercise in between but I thought having a separate routine for it will just make it easier to track week to week. How does it look from your end of things? Will it be Will it have any benefits or its just a lot of work for not really a lot of merit?

victaah I think it has merits, and it could be used to identify potential left/right imbalances.
Can you tell me some of the exercise you would put in the routine? That will give me a better idea of what you're envisioning.

Louis Deveseleer unilateral exercise with non dominant side going first and setting up max intensity, if it's bodyweight that means max reps of current progression and if its dumbell then max reps and max weight both. So e.g Bulgarian split squat , pushup progressions with one arm far from body(some sort of archer pushup progression), one arm assisted pull ups etc. And when it's turn of dominant side basically deliberately stopping at limit of your non dominant side. Which will help it to play catch up, it might probably not work well without adding some mobility and flexibility too as these in some ways contribute towards overall strength performance .
