I’m fairly new to the app and I think it’s great. Love the amount of customization and detail that’s available. And I especially like the skill tree.
I do think that one thing that could push this app into being excellent (and addicting) is a Challenges/Achievements/Quests based on trending workouts or community selected ones. The current community tab is decent but only really shows recent workouts from members.
Rather than just having recent workouts, having popular challenges along with what % of members have completed them I think would add a stronger social aspect and in turn increase adherence (and fun factor) to working out. Having a personalized goal and plan is great for long term results, but often I find that taking on a “challenge” as a community really gives the training more meaning.
Strength challenges such as: completing 10 pull ups variants in 2 min.
Endurance challenge such as: completing that celebrity workout that is definitely not the reason they lost packed on 20lbs of muscle in 3 months.
Balance/mobility challenges such as: that weird but impressive table climb all the climbers were doing.
Alright I’m not the most creative but the main concept of Challenges/Achievement Workouts that the whole community can participate in would be great. And if executed well, I could see it driving a lot of popularity to the app.
