Hey Louis, have you considered using LLMs to help you with this task? The output will of course need to be checked for accuracy and tweaked, but it could certainly speed up the process.
I use the following prompt to help me with specific exercises.

I will name an exercise and you will give instructions on how to carry it out.
Output Format:

Ben Stasiewicz I think it is decently good at helping you with well-known exercises (especially all the weightlifting stuff or the common calisthenics skills), but when it comes to more special exercises, it doesn't really know what we're thinking of, there just isn't enough information out there for those...

I understand that creating the descriptions is a big task. And one that's not really fun. Suggestion: Ask experienced participants to describe the exercises. If necessary, with its own forum, where all exercises are listed and the community creates or corrects descriptions together

Thorsten Mueller Thanks for your suggestion! I think that, between settings things up, interacting and reviewing, doing things this way (community-driven) wouldn't make it easier. The only way I see that would really help us, would be to hire someone with enough understanding of exercises to write the missing descriptions (or at least of a group of exercises in their area of expertise: free weights, calisthenics, ...).
If you are reading this and believe you could be that person, please contact me at info@calistree.com, thank you 🙏

Completing all the description is a huge task that will take weeks of work but after keeping it in the backlog for 2 years, it is time to take it on! We're now 10% of the way there.

Louis Deveseleer any updates where you are currently in %?
Louis Deveseleer
Janis 55% done, but we haven't been able to make any progress on that lately... Writing the descriptions just takes so much time, and it always seems like that time is better used working on other things :-/
