"Carreer/campaign mode"
Nebojsa Milic
So for someone who wants to start from basics, like from bottom of Calisthenics-tree, to master ALL beginner/novice exercises and do every exercise on horizontal level of tree before moving to next level/row in tree - I had an idea for that mode to exist. Or it can be an correction i algorithm, I don't know.
This idea got me because I've mastered Pelican Curl (advanced), and next suggestion is Ring Hefesto (herculian) which is two levels above. Now I will go back and master more basics exercises (Korean curl and Eccentric Pelican Curl), so I can train more to do Ring Hefesto...
It may be that this idea is already integrated in algorithm when you set new exercises changing to minimum, correct me if im wrong

I've also wanted something like this, a workout suggestion with "we think you can master these exercises right here right now" sort of workout... In the app, I have a journey just called "all exercises", and I'll just go pick different low difficulty exercises occasionally, but i still have to set all the parameters to my best guesses for mastery (i think 30 reps one session? or for timed exercises 60" per session? unclear, would love that to be displayed somewhere in the exercise data)

If you see picture attached;
My algorhitm proposed me a much tougher excercise (ring hefesto) because ive did pelican curl. I am not sure I can do ring hefesto, but algorhitm skipped the basic exercise - korean curls or eccentric pelican curl.
I am thinking that app can have a "mode" (I've called it carreer mode, term borrowed from games, or it can be campaign mode or whatever). In that mode, none of these basics exercise cannot be skiped; like lock a user to master all basic excercise from lowest level in order to go on more advanced exercises.... Of course this mode is optional because someone probably don't wanna do these basics...

Nebojsa Milic Ok thanks, I think I got it now. I would see this as a simple algorithm adjustment actually. The Ring Hefesto should not have been recommended to you since your readiness for it is pretty low (looks like 60-65%) and it should have prioritized similar progressions that you haven't worked on yet. Also I think you've been using the app for a while if I'm not mistaken, so your readiness estimation is somewhat accurate. Does that sound right?

Louis Deveseleer yeap that's exactly it. ~60% readyness level for herculian exercise is exactly correct: my level is 40% of herculian haha which is intermediate in average; so if that's algorithm tuning, nice.
Will it be algorithm correction for just this kind of problem, or user could tune algorithm himself to be more "horizontal"?
Thanks Louis, youre the best!

Nebojsa Milic Thanks! We'll need to look more deeply into what the current algorithm exactly looks like, but I guess it will be a combination of making low-readiness exercises less likely to be picked, and make sure slightly easier exercises get matched when no harder or similar-level option is ready to be worked on.

Hey Nebojsa Milic I don't really understand what you are suggesting, could you please explain again?
