Add Set-Specific Timing to Exercise Parameters (e.g., Jump Rope Intervals)

I know this might be a long shot, but since there’s already talk of expanding cardio features in the app, I wanted to suggest something that would be really helpful for anyone doing cardio or HIIT-style training.
Suggestion: Add an option in the exercise parameters to set different durations for each set within a time-based exercise.
Example use case: Jump rope intervals — say I want to do:
• Set 1: 30 seconds
• Set 2: 45 seconds
• Set 3: 60 seconds
• and so on…
Right now, time-based exercises apply the same duration across all sets, which works well for things like calisthenics and isometric exercises, but limits flexibility for more dynamic, interval-based workouts.
Currently, I work around this by starting a workout, pausing it, disabling Auto-Play, manually changing the time for each set, re-enabling Auto-Play, and then continuing. While it’s not a big deal, adding this option directly to the exercise parameters would be a much cleaner and more useful solution for cardio and HIIT routines.
Of course, the current setup should stay as the default — this would just be an optional enhancement for those who need the extra control.
Thanks for considering it – and keep up the great work!

I think this would be a good thing to add. I imagine it as an refinement of the existing Exercise parameters, where instead of only choosing the min/max number of sets and min/max seconds/reps, we would have a visual of what the generated sets will look like. Default options will remain the same, but we would also be able to edit precisely what we want for each set, instead of just having the same ranges for all of them.

Louis Deveseleer That sounds great and really in line with what I was hoping for. One thing I’d add is that if we manually set the duration for each set, there should be a way to save those settings so they stay the same the next time we do that exercise — rather than having the algorithm automatically change the set durations again.

Pini Good to know!
Once those parameters are set, they would be part of how that exercise is used in that context (session and journey), so it'd be reused in following sessions.
The automatic progression could still happen within the ranges provided, but there would also be an option to set specific values that can't change over time.

Louis Deveseleer sounds good! Thanks, Louis!
