Signup by email broken

I tried to sign up using an email address (as I boycott Google as much as possible due to their involvement in the Palestinian Genocide), but it was not working.
The link I received by email would open the app into a new sign up form instead of confirming my entry.
I ended up signing up with google unfortunately, which I assume most people use.

KaKaRoTo Things are working fine on our devices (android and ios), so that might be a device-specific issue. Would you mind sharing a video showing the failing process and let us know what device you use? You can send that by email if you'd like to keep things private: info@calistree.com
Please also attempt the manual link sign-in process to verify that one works: start the email link sign-in process again to get a new email, then copy the link url (without actually clicking on it to follow the link), then go back to the app (you should still be on the sign-in page), click on Questions and troubleshooting under the sign-in buttons > Email link not working and paste the link in that field (instructions here: https://link.calistree.com/).

I'll do that some time soon (been very busy lately, sorry for my late response btw) and send you the info via email. Would it be safe for me to attempt this on my device with the already-linked-to-google account? Would it just link it to my existing account, and then allow me to unlink it from google, or would that just not be possible?
If it might cause issues, I'll need to find a fresh phone for testing (doable), otherwise, I'll try the existing link once you confirm.
Or I guess I could just sign-out and recreate a new account... if only I could import my routines and sessions to the new account 🙄😁
Thanks for the link.calistree.com troubleshooting instructions, that will likely solve the issue as a fallback, I wish I'd seen it before!

KaKaRoTo If you're already linked, you can go to Profile > Settings icon > click on the Email address, and it will take you through a re-authentication flow before you can edit your email (but you don't need to actually edit it, it's just to test the authentication flow) > Click on "Sign in with email".
Or to test things for a new account, if you're up for trying that out, you can sign out from your current account, create a new account and sign in with a different email. You can always append a "+..." to your email address before the "@" , for example "your.usual.email+calistree@email.com".
Once the testing is done, you can sign out from that test account and sign back in with your google account.
